How can a student
drop/withdraw from a course?
Students need to notify
their instructor by phone or in writing of their
desire to withdraw from a
course. Our teachers will verify this request
with a parent and/or
sometimes a school counselor prior to withdrawing the
student. Students should
NOT assume they are dropped from a course simply
because they have not
logged into their course for a week. Communication is
a must.
Honors Courses
All students request the
regular level of a course and if
they wish to take the
honors level, they simply alert their FLVS teacher of
this goal, and then
complete the honors assignments in the course. If the
assignments prove to be
above a student's skills, they may drop back to
regular credit with no
penalty. students are encouraged to consult with
their school counselor
prior to going back to a regular level of a course.
