Dear Webmaster,

 

The Orange County Public School (OCPS) and the Orange County Bar Association have entered into a partnership agreement to promote an on-line drivers education course.  The course is entitled, First-Time Driver Course, and offers an easy and convenient drug and alcohol test that is mandatory in the state of Florida for those students who desire their restricted license.  The web address is: www.ocpsdriver.com.  Patricia Highland, Senior Administrator for the OCPS and Brant Bittner, Executive Director for the Orange County Bar Association have been working together to promote this course within all of the Orange County middle and high schools. 

 

One of the marketing strategies is to have the below information listed on each middle and high school website for parents and students to view.   Each time a student registers for this course, a portion of the revenues goes to the OCPS.  This is a way for the school system to generate revenue without incurring overhead expense or a financial investment of any type.  

 

We are requesting that you place the following information on the schools home webpage in a prominent and easily accessible location.

ONLINE DRIVER'S LICENSE EXAM

Never had a Driver's License? All first time drivers in the State of Florida are required to take the Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness (DATA) course before applying for their license. Take the 4 hour class at your convenience and from the privacy of your own home! By taking this course, you will learn about how alcohol and other drugs affect your ability to drive, laws and responsibilities, safe driving techniques, and how to increase your awareness on our roadways. You will also have the option of taking your driver's license exam online after completing this course (if applicable).

Support your school!  A portion of the registration cost is given to the Orange County School System. 

This course is approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
