Students and parents are encouraged to review scholarships
listed in the guidance newsletter, An Eye To The Future, and
to FREQUENTLY VISIT THE WHAT’S NEXT? ROOM!!! The WHAT’S NEXT?
ROOM located in the guidance office is scholarship central!
The room is regularly updated and has a staff of parent volunteers
during every lunch shift. We recommend students drop in regularly
to keep current on what is available. Below you will find
links to federal financial aid information, bright futures
information, various helpful information, large scholarship
search engines, military programs, and how to plan for education
costs at any age.

Get a pin first at http://www.pin.ed.gov so you can speed
up the process and sign your application electronically. We
also hold a financial aid workshop at AHS in January to assist
you in the application process. You will get your results
much faster than if you do a paper application. Paper applications
are limited so go online. |

YOU MAY APPLY FOR ONE OR BOTH. THEY ARE SEPARATE APPLICATIONS
AND SEPARATE PROGRAMS.

as well as information about: Institutions - Facts links to

Program - Through this link, you can search and learn about
Florida colleges, programs and majors, and the types of degrees
you can earn. Admissions - Use the common admissions application
to apply to multiple participating Florida colleges, at one
time. You will only need to enter your personal information
once; Financial Aid - Connect to a wealth of information regarding
financial assistance for your college education; Student Services

is not worth it. These services cannot give you any more
information than you can find here, in the WHAT’S
NEXT? ROOM, from books, or from your counselor. Please do
NOT pay for any scholarship services. There are some local
companies targeting AHS students. PLEASE contact your counselor
if you have any questions and make sure to let us know if
any of the sites below are trying to profit.
