of resources to help with various issues. Information from
finding counseling for depression to finding a place to volunteer
your time can be obtained through personal community resources
or via the web. Please browse around!

The Community |
| School counselors and safe coordinators can refer you to
counselors in the community that provide individual and/or
family counseling free of charge or only charge a small fee. |
SAFE - Services by the Student Assistance and Family
Empowerment Program at AHS include: Prevention programs for
Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD); Peer Mediation and
conflict resolution; HIV/sexually transmitted infections prevention;
Services for victims of crime and violence; Homeless advocacy;
Crisis intervention and protection; Parent education and resources;
etc.

Parenting without Pressure – PWOP is an innovative
approach to behavior management that uses a win/win format
to help form an important balance between discipline, self-esteem,
and unconditional love. Local workshops are available. Call

the Community work in partnership to provide the resources
and strategies that enable individuals and families to become
self-sufficient and responsible. Here you will find links
to information on a variety of services including: Youth
and family Services, the Orange County Medical Clinic, HIV/AIDS
resources, People with Special Needs Program, the Orange
County Health Department, and MUCH MORE.

for services ranging from adoption, bereavement support
groups, childcare and emergency financial assistance to
U.S. citizenship and immigration counseling, volunteer opportunities
for senior citizens and youth mentoring programs. This place
has it all! Just call and tell them what you need and they
will refer you to the right place.

offers an outstanding program for students whose parents/guardians,
spouse, or they work or have worked in agriculture. Check

Sexual Assault Treatment Centers of Orange County
CIRCUIT 9 - Crisis intervention, advocacy, referrals
for therapy, supportive services, medical intervention/follow-up,
forensic exam program, crisis intervention, advocacy and
accompaniment, prevention education, services available
to children and adults free of charge, and are available

Newhopeorlando.org – A center for grieving youth and teens. New Hope
for Kids specializes in blending grief facilitation and
intervention for children and families and granting wishes
to children with life challenging illnesses in Central Florida.

Pregnant teens – BETA (407) 277-1942 and
ACCEPT (407) 654-0820 are two local organizations that support
pregnant teens by providing baby items, schooling, and daycare.
