Chapter 2 Measurement

• Know the metric system ‘s most common units and how to convert between various units in the metric and English system using dimensional analysis

• Be able to understand the difference between accuracy and precision

• Be able to determine number of significant digits in a value as well as round to proper number of significant digits and perform calculations applying the significant digit rules

• Know the 3 temperature scales and be able to convert from between all three of them

• Understand the concept of density and be able to use the density formula

• Know hoe to write  and understand  numbers in scientific notation

• Understand the concept of specific heat and be able to use the heat formula
