Grades 9-12

Trigonometry (measurent of triangles) is a course designed to follow Regular or Honors Algebra II in order to prepare students for college level math and Calculus. Our study is seperated into two main sections: trig with triangles and trig with a unit circle. We will then apply the learned information graphically and to real world applications with graphing calculators and other hands on activities.

For all students to grasp an understanding of trigonmetric topics, think logically about them, and apply them to real life situations.

Textbook (Prentice Hall "Trigonometry"), paper, pencils, note taking materials, AWAKE and READY BRAINS.
Your grade will be determined by the following:

  • 45% Quizzes (one per week)
  • 45% Tests (one per chapter - usually on per month)
  • 10% Homework, Participation, Projects

  • Homework Assignments are included on the back of the sheet. All assignments from a particular chapter are due on the day of the test for that chapter. Due dates will be given at the beginning of each chapter. NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!
